Bob Jacobson
Commissioner MN Department of Public Safety

Calm and compassion in Crises: Why we need it for others and for ourselves.
Strong leaders of organizations often find themselves in the eye of the storm, often working to solve complex issues. Good leaders address those issues and solve them, serving as the serene anchor. Great leaders do this with compassion for all those around them. Emergency responders, members of our communities and so many others look for that leadership in their darkest hours. The best leaders remember to find that calm and compassion for themselves as well. It is through caring, deliberate and thoughtful action that leaders weather storms in professional and personal lives.
